Your members pay nothing. You sponsor a co-branded training program built for the money decisions the free programs never reach — survivor benefits, blended-retirement elections, VA offsets, TSP decumulation.
This is comprehensive, advanced instruction. It goes well beyond reciting what each benefit is and teaches service members how to build and maintain their own personalized financial ecosystem — every account, policy and benefit working as one system they can run themselves, long after the session ends.
Built and delivered by an Accredited Financial Counselor and former Senior Instructor of Economics at the U.S. Naval Academy.
FINRED, Military OneSource, the relief societies and your own staff already cover budgeting, credit and saving. The Military Wealth Coach offers that too — free to everyone, on our website. This training goes above and beyond the basics, and beyond anything Military OneSource or the relief societies teach. It lives one level up, where the decisions are irreversible and six figures are on the table.
High-3, REDUX and BRS compared side by side. Continuation pay and the lump-sum election priced against the member’s own discount rate rather than a rule of thumb. TERA, TSP, CRDP, CRSC and the VA offsets. The SBP election window — and what TAP leaves out.
SGLI, FSGLI and the VGLI conversion clock. SBP measured against term. DIC, CHAMPVA and TRICARE for survivors. Living benefits and long-term-care riders, plus a clear-eyed look at whether “be your own bank” strategies hold up. Wills, trusts and POAs, with a real-time coverage-gap assessment.
How to maximize Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits, when transferability is worth the added service obligation, and how to layer in DEA (Chapter 35), Yellow Ribbon, MyCAA and Tuition Assistance — then whether a 529, a Coverdell or something else closes what is left. For families with zero to ten children.
Taxable brokerage placement, Roth conversion ladders, SEPP under 72(t) and the Rule of 55, the HSA as a stealth retirement account, I-bonds and CDs. How to fund the years between separation and 59½.
VA loan entitlement and second-tier entitlement. BAH-funded house-hacking. Turning a PCS into a rental. Depreciation and recapture, 1031 exchanges, DSTs and REITs.
Reading an LES line by line. SCRA and MLA protections. Sizing an emergency fund against deployment and PCS cycles, sequencing debt, and wiring every account, policy and benefit above into one system the member runs themselves.
No per-member fees and no seat counts. One institution, one number, for a membership of any size.
Counts are set during scoping, not printed on a card. Concentrate the program where your coverage is thinnest, or spread it across a region where no single location justifies its own calendar. Run a monthly cadence, a quarterly multi-day block, or the same briefing repeated four times a day to clear an annual training requirement. You set the delivery standard — your institution already knows what its own authorities allow, and we build to it.
Prove the program with your membership before committing a year.
Credited in full toward Standard when you renew.
Discuss Pilot →A full year of programming, built around your training calendar rather than ours.
Where most institutions land.
Discuss Standard →When one calendar of sessions cannot reach the membership.
For multi-installation and multi-region programs.
Discuss Enterprise →One event, one date, no ongoing commitment. Book the piece you need.
Plus travel. Conferences, annual meetings, staff all-hands.
Scope drives the number. An afternoon compliance session and a week of transition support with rank-group breakouts are not the same engagement.
A decision engine built for your use case, with annual maintenance.
Financial education on a military installation is tightly governed, and your vendor-management team will ask. These constraints are designed in, not bolted on.
The full vendor packet — W-9, certificate of insurance, data-flow statement and the disclaimer text carried on every deck — is available on request.
Curriculum is mapped to the FINRED financial-readiness framework and to the financial-literacy training touchpoints required by 10 U.S.C. §992, so what your members receive lines up with what the Department already requires them to be taught.
Fee-only. No commissions, no product sales, no referral fees, no revenue share with any provider — which is what makes the neutrality below verifiable rather than merely asserted.
32 CFR §50.6(g)(5) provides for representatives of — and materials provided by — authorized banks and credit unions operating on installations. Everything we build is written to that standard, with the required no-endorsement disclaimer language already in place on every deck, so the program runs under authorities your institution already holds.
On-base financial institutions must make financial education and counseling available to members without charge. This program is how you meet that standard with material your members cannot get anywhere else.
Nothing of ours is sold, pitched or promoted on the installation. No cross-sell, no affiliate links, no lead capture inside the training. Our own funnel lives off the installation and stays there, consistent with DoDI 1344.07.
Every calculator computes in the member’s browser. Nothing is transmitted, nothing is stored, no account is created — which keeps third-party due diligence light on your side.
Every session is taught by Ted Ehlert — a retired Marine Corps officer, an Accredited Financial Counselor, and the former Senior Instructor of Economics at the U.S. Naval Academy, where he built and taught the personal financial management curriculum from 2021 to 2023. Master’s in business economics, two years on Wall Street in fixed income and equity product development, and more than a decade investing in real estate.
He sells no financial products and earns no commissions. Your members get an instructor with nothing to sell them.
Your institution sets the delivery standard \u2014 live, virtual, or your own staff presenting our material after train-the-trainer. You know what your authorities allow better than we do, and we build to whatever you set. What does not change is who wrote the curriculum and who teaches it.
Tell us your membership profile, which installations you serve, and where your current coverage is thin. If the fit is not there, we will say so on that call rather than send a proposal.
